Verizon FIOS G3100 router

Anyone know what size the DC barrel/plug is for this router? It appears to be proprietary because it slightly off from standard sizes. If my memory serves me, plug is larger than 2.5 & smaller than 2.8. One person suggested crimping the barrel gently to make it conform. Much rather do it right or not at all.

I tried the green tip but power does not pass through. Back to Verizon fios G3100 power supply & router lights right up. Router input is center + and outer -.

Should the DC adapter plug be rated same as device?For example, Verizon fios G3100 is 12v 3.5a. Now back to the size of that plug?

Anybody know? Thanks
