I used to make cables and probably wasted a lot of time and money using “just the right” connectors on new, untried, builds. Nothing worse than finishing a build with new connectors worth $300-400 and not liking how it sounds. Plus, I have never heard cables where the connectors made a larger impact on the sound than the wire, dielectric, and geometry.
I suggest using low priced connectors for your trial builds and then going with something good, like the Oyaide connectors, with silver pins, if you happen to build cables that sound great to you. For something maybe a touch above the cheapest available, Google “Pasternack 75 ohm bnc connector.”
