Focal just updated their Utopia line with an active speaker

Focal's Utopia lineup has been getting a bit long in the tooth and people have been anticipating an update.  They just announced a new offering that is an active speaker using Naim electronics.  I would defiantly be interested in hearing this setup.  Seems like there will be more and more active speakers out there and Focal went right to the top of their food chain for this release.  One would have to think that there will be more affordable offerings forthcoming.   The new speaker design reminds me of the KEF Blade.

If anyone gets a chance to hear them, I'd love to know what you think.

Interesting.  Thanks for the alert.  

Plenty of details mentioned in the spec info, but I didn't see any mention of crossovers/crossover points, etc.

Being someone who has exclusively listened to active loudspeakers for over 20 years, I too cannot wait to see how this offering is going to be received.

I will be the first to say that simply because a speaker is active is no automatic recommendation. Everything on a case to case basis. Active Passive or whatever.

This is far from the first High End active speaker system and far from the most sophisticated despite being thoroughly up to date. I will probably never lay eyes upon a pair but I would like to hear them which will never happen either. I’ll keep my eyes out over the next year or so to see what gets said about them.
