Has anyone here had any dealings with Tekton, particularly their subwoofers

As I explore options for replacing equipment I am it seems constantly finding new sources of components to consider. Tekton has appeared on my radar due to another thread here at audiogon. I just wondered if anyone has gone this direction for subwoofers in particular, but I also have questions about their full range speakers and what they are like to deal with. Given that the world of hi-fi has become even more of a smoke and mirrors game than it has been in the past, I am more cautious about who I am willing to throw down money for than I ever have been.

There are so many people on this forum who are, as Corelli has hinted, like little children. They don’t like something, so they bash it. The OP had already trashed Tekton speakers before he made this post asking about their subwoofers. My first post are HIS comments on another thread. So yes, he is gone…. Like a little child who can’t stand other opinions and just wants to trash what he doesn’t like. Maybe the OP will invent another user name and start trashing something else….

"ASR basically trashed a Tekton speaker and Tekton threatened ASR with legal action."

How many times has ASR been called out for slander/libel/defamation/bad,faulty testing methods, etc...? Quite a few, and probably justifiably so.

"the question is whether you have much appetite to support bullying, intimidation and anti-competitive behavior with your dollars."

If ASR is against it, then I’m probably for it, lol. Not a fan of ASR’s BS. If you want an example of a group of arrogant, ignorant, self-righteous audio bullies, look no further than that place.

Back to Tekton: They’re a small company offering rather unique products at a good price. You pay your money and make your choice. Some people love them, some people don’t. I’m OK with that.

Life's way too short to argue the virtues or detriments of an audio product that I've never heard.

I look at Tekton and think of VMPS, a brand I was quite interested in as a young, strapped music lover. A big box brimming with lots of drivers. Having never heard a pair I can't comment on SQ, but I think 1 look would suggest what to expect them to sound like.  Many hi end speaker manufacturers design cabinets to the nth detail eliminating resonances, rounded edges and/or narrow front baffles to reduce diffraction, sloped front baffles to help time align drivers. Lets say the cabinet makes 10% of improved imaging and soundstage, but adds 50% to the cost...Is it worth it? how about a single dedicated midrange vs multiple tweeters handling the mids? Going with  Be tweeters add an awful lot to the cost of otherwise sensibly priced speakers.

Is Corelli Carbon Miller?

Nope. Not enough nonsensical illogic in his post.

I would love to have ASR Amir and Erin over at my place blindfolded and present 2 speakers back to back A/B, one that measures pristine perfect and not so much with another speaker (that wouldn’t get a ASR recommend).

When they pick their preferred sound speaker (but wouldn’t rrecommend the same based on their limited set of measurement), I would catch that on camera for YouTube and throw the 2 stoopid looking undergrad imbeciles outta the house quickly.
