Has anyone here had any dealings with Tekton, particularly their subwoofers

As I explore options for replacing equipment I am it seems constantly finding new sources of components to consider. Tekton has appeared on my radar due to another thread here at audiogon. I just wondered if anyone has gone this direction for subwoofers in particular, but I also have questions about their full range speakers and what they are like to deal with. Given that the world of hi-fi has become even more of a smoke and mirrors game than it has been in the past, I am more cautious about who I am willing to throw down money for than I ever have been.

@incorrigable the drivers are "off the rack" but he goes through many tweeters to find matched responses, and bins the other ones.  Not exactly the most environmentally friendly way to go about it, but I can't argue with the sound.

@larsman I thought the same thing, but in person is a lot different than seeing pictures online.  In a dark cabinet, the seven tweeters aren't that noticeable.  I understand if you want really pretty boxes that put out decent sound.  I'd rather have speakers that sound like heaven than look like it.  And ofc beauty is in the eye of the beholder.  I think they look solid in person.  A subjective matter regardless

@deep_333 yes, this is exactly what compelled me to give them a try.  At the time he recommended running a dbx crossover which added noise to my signal chain. It was before he started selling amp plated subs or I may have considered along with the wires taking months to get to me.  Spreading out the bass vertically like in the 4-10 or 6-10 certainly can help with nodes.  That being said, my frequency response is quite good with two F12 rhythmiks near the middle of the room.  My room is fully treated 16.5' x 13' with 10' ceilings

I have Tekton speakers. I have grills… I put on them. They look like 90% of all other speakers out there in hifi land. Not liking the way the speakers look without grills is kinda silly to me.

@2psyop Your comment about me is unappreciated and inaccurate. Please resist the urge to criticize others in a direct personal way until you know them well enough that it won't be perceived as slanderous. My negative comments were based on appearance only...and were intended to be funny. In no way was I impugning the sound quality as I have never had the experience of hearing them in person. They LOOK different enough from conventional designs to poke fun at, but it certainly wasn't malicious. Your assumption that it was is both wrong and insulting.

@corelli - I have not vanished...nor do I appreciate your inaccurate assumptions about my intent or attitude. Keep your negative thoughts to yourself. You might consider getting to know me and my life experience before you make your insipid remarks.
