A list of efficient speakers at ~$5K a pair.

Specifically I am searching for those speakers possessing a relatively flat 8ohm impedance curve and a true (8ohm) 92db sensitivity that are at a cost of $5000 USD.

I currently own Fritz Carbon 7s SE  MK2.

Omega Speaker Systems Super Alnico XRS should fit the bill.  Check them out

I think you're overcomplicated this process. Listen to the music and choose what sounds right "to you". I personally own Tekton Moab's. High efficiency (98 dB), marvelous low end extension (no sub required) as well as what I would characterize as "makes me tingle all over" mid-range and high frequencies. No, they are not perfect, but then, in all honesty, nothing out there really is. It's all still very personal.

I use the First Watt Sit-4 and Pass Preamp with my Volti Audio Razz the best sound of my life..10 watts of glorious Class A with out the tube problems and expense..

My question would be this. Based on your "music listening" preferences, what sound and performance characteristics would you like more of than what the Fritz are providing to you? What areas of improvement are you looking to achieve? If dynamics, at low or high listening levels are important to you (keeping in mind our recordings might be a bottleneck here, compared to live, unamplified music), I would look at horn loaded speakers, some mentioned above, as well as Tekton models. Someone mentioned above that they owned 85db sensitive speakers that were as dynamic as anything else they have heard/owned. I must disagree with this, as to my ears and my fundamental understanding of dynamics and musical scale, compression exists otherwise. Of course, a smooth neutral tone, coherence, speed and agility, spatiality, and the room matching of speaker and listener, all are critical in achieving great sound and performance, imo & ime. Good luck and my best! MrD.

@jijoh123 , are those going for 5k a pair?
