Tekton has horribly toxic ownership. Don't even care if I liked their speakers or not, Eric and his trash heap are dead to me.
Has anyone here had any dealings with Tekton, particularly their subwoofers
As I explore options for replacing equipment I am it seems constantly finding new sources of components to consider. Tekton has appeared on my radar due to another thread here at audiogon. I just wondered if anyone has gone this direction for subwoofers in particular, but I also have questions about their full range speakers and what they are like to deal with. Given that the world of hi-fi has become even more of a smoke and mirrors game than it has been in the past, I am more cautious about who I am willing to throw down money for than I ever have been.

I have Tekton speakers and HAVE dealt with Eric Alexander. Speakers sounded terrific and he was a pleasure to deal with. In fact, once I had a failed driver and Eric and crew took care of the problem and sent me another driver, no hassle at all. |
@2psyop , Have you dealt directly with Eric Alexander when he, on this very forum threatened litigation on members here for expressing their opinions? It’s his MO in more than a few circumstances. He doesn’t like what you say, he threatens to sue you. Have you seen the disaster of a video he personally put out in an attempt at damage control from the PR mess his own words and actions created? It was a train wreck that only served to solidify what people thought of him. Not his company, him. This is not an opinion. These are documented facts of his actions. If you are aware of this, you can understand all the negativity surrounding him and by default, his company. Apologies for going off track as to what this thread is about. I’ll say no more other than I have never heard a Tekton speaker, therefore I’ve never expressed an opinion either way. We're in total agreement on this: If you haven't heard the equipment, you have no right to express an opinion either way. |
@jrareform , please read the above post. It clarifies that it goes beyond what you posted. There, done. You all have a very Merry and Blessed Christmas. My wish is of course includes the owner of Tekton, whom I'd like to think came out the other side of that debacle as, after a bit of soul searching, a better person. |
