Will Accuphase E-800 be enough to power Klipsch La Scala speakers?

I am not familiar with power and other electrical terms but am interested in the above combination. From the E-800 spec sheet at 8ohms, the amplifier can deliver 50W continuous power. The La Scala spec sheet has 100W/400W under Power Handling. All I have read is that the La Scalas do not need that much power to drive them. Am I interpreting the spec sheets correctly in that there is not enough power in the amp? I am feeing I am interpreting the requirements incorrectly.

We recently got an E800 in our demo room. It can power any speaker we sell with aplomb. It will definitely power a La Scala, I don't think you will have the volume past level 1.

Very warm, musical, with a sweetness to it, and build quality (as all Accuphase) is out of this world. Surprisingly, it does not run hot for a Class A amplifier. Should be a killer system with a mid-range to die for.

Is that an E800 or the newer E800S that's been around for a couple of months?

I'm curious how any changes Accuphase made altered the overall sound.

I have an E-800 and it drives both my Sonus Faber Guarneri Homage and Magnepan LRS+ effortlessly. Mucho, mucho headroom.  With even more efficient speakers, my goodness, you might be able to reach the volume levels of a stadium rock concert! :)

I’ve not heard the new S version of the amp but cannot imagine how Accuphase was able to improve it in any significantly audible way.
