Favorite Cover Album

Tesla was announced as the 1st band coming to the music venue at the lake this summer.  So I started listening to their 2 cover albums, Real to Reel volumes 1 and 2, to get ready and keep warm thinking about the coming summer.  Volume 1 is my favorite.  Please share what’s your favorite cover album?

k.d. lang -- Hymns of the 49th Parallel

Includes my favorite cover of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah"

Petra Haden Sings The Who Sell Out - and by singing I mean reproducing every sound on the album as mouth music. There's also Petra Haden Goes to the Movies.

The Susanna Hoffs/Matthew Sweet Under the Covers series goes through pop music decade by decade starting with the 60s.

"Quiet About It" a tribute to Jesse Winchester.   But if you meant best album cover......Frank Zappa "Ship Too Late To Save A Drowning Witch"-- hands down.

The Cowboy Junkies put out a series of lps years ago on Diverse Records. One was an lp of Vic Chestnut covers. Great 😃
