Power conditioners and power regeneration

There are so many different options on this subject it’s unbelievable. But in the meantime it seems to me that between two companies that I’m comparing, they seem to do the same thing with power conditioning, and as far as I can tell there is no audible difference. Comparing two different conditioners, the elite 20 pfi and the aq pq2. On the other hand, I’ve heard that power regeneration is good, but it also can generate noise. Besides plugging into the wall, which I know works great, I still would like some protection to my amplifiers against brown out or surges. Has anyone else experienced any difference with these 2 products?

We use the term "seagull" to describe the consultant who fly in from far away, crap all over everything, and then fly away.  You know the type.

i have the audio quest niagara 5000; along with a couple other smaller AQ units for other systems....i am not sure what it does to my soundstage and all that; but i spent $5K on it to sort of ensure my components had conditioned power...at the time, i thought that very important as i was just learning about that  (and all the cable upgrades offered to plug into it) and even power it... I only had about $50K invested in a tube system at the time and was running AK6 Klipschorns...and my noise floor was black and as quiet as a church mouse...the AK6's may not be the best speaker for "sound stage" but it was ok as well...once i unplugged the AK6s and plugged in the Wilson Audio SashaV's, I was astounded at the improvement (of course, at 4.5 times the price of the Klipsh they better be)...but I did not improve any of my vacuum tube system...so, comparison was other than better speakers, the installers stated my system was nearly as quiet as their reference system....SO NOW....people want me to look at Shunyata Denali and Typhon2 units as i prepare to upgrade to a complete Audio Research tube system (bring on those 330M's)... i guess my question to the forum would be; or just comments requested is there a huge gain to go from AQ to Shunyata (other than the obvious higher cost involved?)  I am new at this, but want to learn from others...thanks...  :)
