Question about Break in of Weiss DAC 204

Just purchased the Weiss Dac 204 and have a question about break in.  Is leaving the DAC on alone enough to consider that time for the break in period or does the entire system need to be on. In short, is playing music through the entire system required for break in. Since the Dak has no moving parts I thought that just leaving it on alone without amp, preamp etc. might be enough. Would appreciate any advice on this subject.  Thanks in advance.

Run your streamer into it with music but anything downstream isn't necessary IMO.

You need to run a signal through it. I always make sure the signal runs start to finish. I always run with  a Streamer, DAC and preamp, amp and speakers... so the signal starts and is carried through and output. I can't guarantee this is required, I've never wanted to waste time, so always done it this way.

I would enjoy someone with an electrical engineering background or knowledge to confirm this requirement. But it has always made sense to me that without the amp and ultimately the speakers allowing the flow of all the electronic circuits you are not getting the electron flow required.

Leave it on with an input device like a streamer. Find an internet radio station and let it rip.  When I bought a new streamer, I kept the BS Node and it’s perfect for such a job.  It also sounds pretty darn good as a streamer also.
