John fully Ono,
Ono fully John.
Ono fully Yoko.
Are there any recording artists you just can’t listen too?
For me there is one that has always been top of the list.
Edith Piaf…..l just can’t think of anything worse.
Do not get me wrong and consider my choice is in any way racist….l love to listen to music with songs in any language… Italian, French, Spanish…..
Russian and German can however be extremely demanding, but Edith Piaf (if possible in any language) is a potential harrowing experience.
Do any others on here have a similar artist, or artists that can trigger the same physical reaction?
I do not find that surprising, @texasblues1959 . |
The Jesus thing and all the fallout in the States. Thank you both for posting all the facts on the matter. The only thing l can add is that John said his comments were taken out of context. What he did admit to saying was……to some people we (The Beatles) are more important than Jesus. He did not say he believed they were. He was talking to a reporter about ‘Beatle Hysteria’ experienced when the group landed in America for their first concerts, and his views on the then new phenomena. |
I wasn’t paying attention to The Beatles back then, @mylogic , so I cannot say that I actually heard the quote from John Lennon’s mouth, but this is the first hit that came up when I did a google: "In a 1966 interview, John Lennon famously stated, "We’re more popular than Jesus now; I don’t know which will go first -- rock ’n’ roll or Christianity," sparking controversy and media attention. " However I do not personally know if this is an accurate quote or not. |
