Gene Simmons and Kiss, I'm not 13 anymore....
Are there any recording artists you just can’t listen too?
For me there is one that has always been top of the list.
Edith Piaf…..l just can’t think of anything worse.
Do not get me wrong and consider my choice is in any way racist….l love to listen to music with songs in any language… Italian, French, Spanish…..
Russian and German can however be extremely demanding, but Edith Piaf (if possible in any language) is a potential harrowing experience.
Do any others on here have a similar artist, or artists that can trigger the same physical reaction?

Freddy Mercury is looking up at us from below and wishing that he would have had the creative talent it took to write lyrics such as these: The screen door slams, Mary's dress sways

@bikeboy52 , I just opened a crapload of emails from A’gon admin informing me that this was way way way off limits. |
@mylogic , judging from the emails from A’gon Admin I have just opened, I have been triggering the snowflakes even more than Bruce does. Since I don’t know where the line that cannot be crossed is, I will now officially leave this thread to the Bruce-Haters. |
Here I am, a Johnny-Come-Lately getting on the tail end (again). There are very few singers or bands whose recordings I strongly dislike. It’s more that I feel underwhelmed given their popularity. Ive never been a Bruce Springfield or Grateful Dead fan. Same with Dave Matthew’s — I don’t get the attraction. I’m not impressed by most stuff from the Allman Brothers. I generally don’t care for Rod Stewart, though I very much enjoyed “Hot Legs” — I think some voices are just right for a given song, though generally dissatisfying. I personally enjoy some of Australian singer Kasey Chambers’ music, though I understand how some find her “baby voice” grating. I’m not a fan of anything by White Snake of Black Crowes — radio station gets changed immediately. I don’t understand at all the popularity of Billie Eilish. |
