Are there any recording artists you just can’t listen too?
For me there is one that has always been top of the list.
Edith Piaf…..l just can’t think of anything worse.
Do not get me wrong and consider my choice is in any way racist….l love to listen to music with songs in any language… Italian, French, Spanish…..
Russian and German can however be extremely demanding, but Edith Piaf (if possible in any language) is a potential harrowing experience.
Do any others on here have a similar artist, or artists that can trigger the same physical reaction?
Except Carlin and Williams and Thompson all took their own life. I suspect in part because they knew somehow it was all for naught. Anyhow, to come back to Dylan. I can’t underestimate his social and political importance. His lyrics spoke for millions and shaped music and literature. Idk if he deserved the Nobel Prize, but his contribution to Western culture is undeniable. But still, if only his technical proficiency matched his lyrics. I think his best songs came alive when covered by others. |
