Kef Blade or Wilson Audio Alexia?

Please give your advise, if I am to buy a floor standing speakers and place it in a 28 sq ft room, would you prefer a Wilson Audio Alexia or Kef Blade?

Kef Reference 5 meta will execute better in most rooms than the Blade and the Willy.

Get a pair of kc62 kef microsubs to go with it and move it around in the room. Once it clicks in place, you might achieve something worthwhile.

I have Wilson Alexias driven by modern CJ tube components and I am completely in awe with every listening session. I had auditioned Kef Blades, Magico M5's, and Focal Utopias prior to acquiring the Wilsons. All three were very nice, but the Wilsons not only won me over, but my wife as well. As usual, placement is everything and as is the case with most higher end speakers, my dealer did a great job getting them set up for me.

The soundstage on the Blades is the best I have ever heard. I do not think the aluminum drivers on the Blades are the top of the heap, but the overall package makes it my favorite speaker. I do not like the KEF Reference 5 because it does not create the same stage as the Blades.

With the Blades a LONG wall placement is usually the best. I see so many photos of Blades in rooms with the side wall very close to the speaker.

I have heard a lot of Wilson models.

13 year old thread. I appreciate the care Wilson uses at shows. I've never heard a bad demo! on the other hand I've seen KEF setup the Blades in the middle of a loud open floor space and drive their speakers with budget components, as if they were on the shelf at a best buy competing with rack systems. I can put my speakers 3-4' away from any reflective surface and still have an 8-9' listening triangle and when I do that any decent speaker sounds amazing, it's not until I try to make speakers fit into the room that some sound better than others.
