* Crucial: Optimize Gain Staging on MiniDSP Flex.
Download Software: Ensure the MiniDSP Flex control software is installed on a computer.
* Input Calibration: With music playing from both the Eversolo (via USB) and the Goldnote PH-10 (via balanced input), monitor the input meters within the MiniDSP software. Adjust the input gain for each input (USB and Balanced) down until the meters no longer show clipping (going into the red) even at the loudest peaks of the music. This is paramount.
* Output Volume: Once input gains are set, set the MiniDSP’s master digital volume to a fixed optimal level, perhaps around -10dB to -20dB (as it seems to work for the streamer). Then, use the Yamaha AS3200’s volume knob for overall listening level. This prevents the Yamaha’s input from being overloaded.
* Crucial: Turntable Grounding
Technics to Goldnote: Ensure the dedicated ground wire from the Technics 1200 GR2 is firmly connected to the ground terminal on the Goldnote PH-10.
* Goldnote Ground: If the Goldnote has its own ground terminal and it’s not connected to the main system’s ground, try connecting it to the ground terminal on the Yamaha AS3200.
* MiniDSP Ground: Some users find success connecting the chassis of the MiniDSP (if it has a ground screw) to the chassis of the primary amplifier (Yamaha AS3200) with a separate wire.
* Inspect Cables: Even if new, re-seat all TRS and XLR cables to ensure they are fully plugged in and secure.
Also you can try plugging into your wall wart directly
