DeVore O/96 Unboxing

I’m not a sushi freak. I like it but I’m not the connoisseur guy that sits at the counter and just lets the chef create what he wants to serve me.

Opening my speakers was quite a nervous reveal. I knew that hand curated, walnut finish baffles is a DeVore variable that just is what it is. I had to trust that the master chef had created a beautiful and delicious meal for me. He did. And my wife approves too. Whew.

Working on pic uploads…..

Tomfoolery. Yes. It’s the Bakewell vinyl console in walnut. Love Dan’s work. Was worth the wait 😊

I designed and own this from Tomfoolery and also love it. I initially ordered pre-pandemic but delayed a couple times and tweaked the design due to a move. I have my cabinet loaded with a couple hundred pounds of amps and component and it’s doing great.

Your system looks great. You room reminds me of my room a few years ago. Open on one side and about the same size. I know it’s not ideal but I also know you can get some great sound even without it being ideal.

Beautiful cabinet and yes on the open room right side. It is what I’m working with although my wife is open to trying a 90° rotation of everything except the console and the TV. My front wall would then be windows on the right but there’d be room symmetry regained and the couch listening position would be an equilateral triangle with speaker separation.

Spousal approval is great to have in this hobby. The move should help with imaging and sound stage. Give it a shot.
