Anyone try different footers for DeVORE Super Nine speakers?

Hi,

I am toying with the idea of trying Gaia III footers to replace the stock spikes that come with the speakers. Has anyone tried the Gaia's or other footers? If so, what were the results? Thanks.

I of course tried spikes, I gave them to my friend who is still limited by them.

I would put a block under the front edge to tilt them back, to aim the tweeter to seated ear height at listening position.

I would put some smooth plastic 'skid plates' on the corners so I could alter the toe-in as needed for single centered or two off-center listeners

I used Gaia’s on my KEF Reference 1’s and they definitely have a positive effect. It is very important that they are properly oriented and they grip the floor, either with the rubber bottoms or spikes. I am going to give Stack Audio footers a try at some point, they are pretty popular.

I may try tilting the speakers back to get the tweeters closer to ear level. My listening seat is relatively high resulting in the tweeters about 4"-5" below my ears. The speakers sit on suspended wood floors with Herbie's decoupling gliders under neath the spikes. I love the speakers! However, just wondering what different footers might do?

The other thing I' am looking at are the Gingko Audio Speaker Arches. They would raise the height of the speakers a bit.

Nice speakers.  Many people have gotten significant improvements with Townshend Seismic isolation products.  Not cheap, but I believe they offer a return option and very worth considering.  Read the reviews that are virtually all raves, which is rare for tweak products like these IME.  Just another option, and best of luck.
