The verdict - Burmester 232 is worth MUCH MUCH MUCH more than its price!!!

Because "Meister" means "master" in English it is an easy mistake to refer to the German company as "Burmeister".  It is correctly spelled "Burmester".  I have several pieces of Burmester equipment and could not recommend his creations more highly.  He was a personal friend.

Love the comment about inability to read a room.    Like really…I thought there was a perceived max to the “self-aggrandizement” we sometimes catch a whiff of here…this one takes it to new heights.

Part of me feels kind of bad actually, because despite his obvious interpersonal challenges @madhusudan_ramaswamy is exactly the kind of guy folks here keep whining we need more of: A young guy, enthusiastic about hifi, drops fifty large at the drop of a hat and all that, and here we are browbeating him into oblivion instead of gently coaching him into fruitful social interactions.
