Has anyone compared the Soundsmith Strain Gage Cartridge system to a top-of-the-line cartridge / phono stage combo in the same system (including the same arm and linestage)?
Exlibris : Saturday evening I spent time listening to Peter's Strain Gauge Cartridge. Set-up correctly using clean vinyl , what an experience. The most for the buck (euro).
I talked to two people that heard the system at CES. They were not overly impressed. Then again, they were unfamiliar with some of the other components in the system.
