Has anyone heard the VPI Classic yet

I would also like to know if the classic would be a worth while upgrade from the scout with geinko vibration base?

Personally, I agree with those who say that, no matter how it 'sounds', it reverses all design goals and 'upgrades' of the last 40 years of VPI: SAMA, acrylic/steel/aluminum plinths, acrylic platters, 300rpm motors, etc. Along with the relatively new 'rim drive' it seems to show more of a something-for-everyone marketing decision more than HW following a linear path to tt sonics.
