Digital Cable : Cardas Neutral Reference Vs Au24

Friends,
I am looking to upgrade my Digital cable. I have heard a few of them which are popular like the XV2 and D60, though I liked them in some ways but I found them to be a bit dry.
My sonic preference is Smooth, Natural, Fluid and NEUTRAL !!!
Music should be presented in an airy and wholesome manner but without being forced upon you. The natural midrange warmth is very important for me. I have shortlisted the Cardas NR and Au24 digital cables because both these brands have the reputation of being detailed as well as musical.
I do not like Silver and would normally stay away from it.
Thats the reason I have not considered brands like Audio Magic, Audio Note, Audioquest etc...all of these make respectable products but somehow I have always found Silver to lack midrange realism, especially vocals.

I will not be able to audition these digital cables so I am looking for insights from you fellow inmates. Any info is good info. If anyone has actually heard both of them then nothing like it.

i auditioned a ton of digital cables earlier this year before i selected mine and found the mit proline digital reference to be my preference by far. the only better was the mit oracle ma-x. these bested the stealth mentioned above which i own as well. i have a friend who owns the acoustic revive and thinks highly of it.
I agree with Teejay, try the AZ cables even if you start with the Silver Byte version.
Surprising that there were not any comments on the ICs I have short listed :(. I thought these were pretty reputed ICs so I will get at least some opinions on how they sound and how they compare.

I've tried some ICs and their associated digital siblings by the same name... they didn't have enough in common to see them as duplicates but just in different domains.

The Digital arena has other criteria to meet than does analog.... and similar just isn't the same as. Add to that some makers of digital links make them better than they do their analog links, or vice versa... in terms of performance.

I'd wager more on changes in the digital domain vary more so by termination than do analog interconnects do too.

Anywho.. enjoy. Hope your choice is a good one for your preffs and needs.
