Cable Breakin

Just received a pair of HiDiamond 8 speaker cable. Out of the box they seem to be very laid back and lacking presence. Do these cables change with breakin and how long does breakin typically take?
arh
I tend to agree with Elizabeth on this one, although I believe in break in. Do you have refund ability if you decide to return them? And if so, where did you purchase?
often break in time for wire is around 100 hours

give it at least that much time if you can
on the other hand, not much to lose by running them a few weeks and then listening. Lots of things shouldn't make a difference, but do...
Was/is there an option to treat them on a "cable cooker?"
I think a break-in period is almost universally acknowledged
on electronics, speakers, and cables, isn't it?

Have you ever frozen your cables, or CDs?
Put the cables in a large plastic bag and place in a freezer for two
days. Transfer to the refrigerator for one day. Then,
take them out and remove from plastic bag and place between heavy cloth
or a blanket for one day, to allow them to slowly reach room temperature.
Now, give them a try and let me know if they sound different.

Added steps can include thoroughly cleaning and applying a contact enhancer to the terminals, and gently wiping the cables with a microfiber cloth that has been sprayed with anti-static treatment.

You are only limited by your time, and imagination, right?
Arh HD cables do take a while to break in. They will change dranatically durning the 1st 500hrs. I have a little over 400hrs on my HiDiamond 8 and layed back and lacking presence thier not. Hang in there.
