Your ONE all time favorite love song?

For me it's "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" by Roberta Flack, from her CD "Softly with These Songs, the Best of Roberta Flack", on Atlantic. I'm looking for LOVE SONGS. Thanks and Cheers. Craig

Hands down winner Craig - "Longer Than" by Dan Fogelberg, a close second is "Woman" by John Lennon. These songs guaranteed to get you out of any traps...
Well ... the more I listen to it, the more I like Neil Young's "Harvest Moon". A long-time companion song if there ever was one (20 years and still working on it myself). And if you can't envision yourself swaying in someone's arms to the music, well ... I pity your lack of imagination.

"Come a little bit closer
Hear what I have to say
Just like children sleepin'
We could dream this night away.

But there's a full moon risin'
Let's go dancin' in the light
We know where the music's playin'
Let's go out and feel the night.

Because I'm still in love with you
I want to see you dance again
Because I'm still in love with you
On this harvest moon.

When we were strangers
I watched you from afar
When we were lovers
I loved you with all my heart.

But now it's gettin' late
And the moon is climbin' high
I want to celebrate
See it shinin' in your eye.

Because I'm still in love with you
I want to see you dance again
Because I'm still in love with you
On this harvest moon."
Regiolanthe,
You just may have hit on one of the finest love songs of all time. I never get sick of hearing Neil Young sing that song. That one and "Cowgirl In The Sand"
Slipknot1,

In response to Excitable Boy, I do have to say that Warren Z did put out some pretty romantic tunes in his own fashion. I rarely pull my vinyl Warren - but I did a few months ago - and played his major debut "Warren Zevon". "Backs Turned Looking Down the Path", "Hasten Down the Wind", and "Carmelita" are all songs worthy of any romantic troubadour, even if the romance is a little flawed! I can't say that I paid much attention to his later offerings (although my beautiful wife bought "My Ride's Here" a few years ago so that I could add a "Z" to the CD collection), and it's nice to see him get some belated acclaim.
