Suggestions For Phono Preamp....

It looks like I am going to finally make a serious effort
to transfer my 200+ records to CD. I just got a very good
deal on a Music Hall MMF-5 turntable; and now I'm looking
to get a phono preamp that will match up decently with
my turntable.
Please note that I own a media duplication company - so
I will be transferring the audio to a professional CD
recorder - not a consumer unit. And since I don't need a
preamp for other sources; a preamp that is only used for
turntables would be preferred.
One last item - would like to keep the cost under $1K
if possible. Any and all suggestions will be appreciated.

Music Hall makes the MMF1 for $79.00 at J&R Music World.
Too cheap? Then how about the Blue Circle BC23. List is $1250, but is available new under $1K.
The EAR 834P - most have a volume control so no preamp needed - sells used for 650-850 - new for 1000 - 1200.
I like the 834p in your price reange but get rid of the stock tubes and use some nice NOS tubes.
I own the Lehmann Audio Black Cube SE (the newer version with the much larger PWX power supply), and can highly recommend it. It costs $875 new, or you can buy a used version of the basic Black Cube for around $400 and have HyendAudio, the U.S. distributor, attach the new power unit for $275.
