Sony SCD-1 or BAT VK-D5 / D5SE

How could it be better than the BAT on SACD? Tom

John no offense at all, you are gentlemen,I respect your
opinion and whatever gear and musical taste, I agree
vynil is superior,but too much work, I do have another
system ,where I only play LP,I have MMF5,art audio preamp,
and plinius amp,Diapason adamantes sp,I guess I am bless
to have both set up,one thing, I notice The SACD is very
very close to LP,Michael Fremmer mentioned SACD is as
good as LP minus the deficiency,I have at least 100sacd
now mostly are hybrid,I am happy with that.John the unmodded
sony is lean,is just good for the price,plus they added
DVD for this unit to beat the competition in the market.
I wish you live here in Illnois, I can bring my Sony

Jwin,I cant blame, if there are skeptic on mod,because
it can be expensive,its a risk also,the secret is
get a good modifier,reliable,with good reputation,In
my case I did my homework,calling audiophile, who
have the experience,In return I helped those who are
interested on the mod.I also got lucky with Dan ,I dont
work for Him, When I buy things from Him, wont even'
give me penny discount.He treat me nice, thats only
my consolation.Thanks

Akaddict, Iam glad you ask about the imaging, detail,
midrange purity,In my system,according to the guy who brought the BAT,my sony 9000es unmodded that time,is
more detail and transparent,and ,BAT imaging I think
is better, Bat palpability is a bit better.But on SACD even
unmodded sony, I like the sony for my taste.The soundstage
of BAT is huge, it has more depth,either way you cant go
go wrong.Its only my opinion, others may have differrent
experience, Like audiotweak said his ps audio transport
and dac killed the sony.I believe Him.
