I am considering the Piega C-8 Limited or the P10.

I do not have a dealer in this area, and have not heard them. However, from what I have read, this speaker is definetly on my list of candidates.

I want a speaker that:
1) I can listen to anything from jazz to rock
2) Will take me off the upgrade my speakers every two years merry-go-round

Anyone who has had experience with this speaker (or perhaps the earlier Piega P10) and would like to share their thoughts with me would be greatly appreciated.

Other candidates in my speaker search are:
Von Schweikert VR-4 Gen III SE
Pro Ac Response 3.8
Wilson Sophia
Silverline LaFolia
Coincident Technologies Total Eclipse

In advance, thanks for your time. I look forward to hearing back some thoughts from my fellow Audiogon members.

I think a number of valid points have been raised. Key is what you are looking for and s a previous maggie owner I can identify with what you are looking for and think you will likely find it in either piega. I am one of the chaps calloway mentioned who has gone from p8ltd to c8ltd and I am delighted. I have had both in my room for some time (month or more) and had a multitude of friends with very different tastes compared them. The p8ltd is a great speaker but the c8ltd is the clear cut winner. IMO the speaker is very coherent and the bass tight and very deep. There is no problem in driving these speakers loud and deep though I am not a huge bass hound. I have posted a review of the c8ltd by the way. I would be happy to chat with you if you have any questions. I should add that enough friends have heard the piegas at my house and gone on to buy them that I am now the local dealer so please take my comments with this in mind (this is a very recent event and my review was written long before this ever occured). Probably the key issue will be cost, the c8ltd is a lot more than the p10 so this will take some careful thought. Good luck and feel free to drop a note
