Muddy Waters "Folk Singer"

I recently picked up a copy of Muddy Waters "Folk Singer" thanks to the forum. I could not believe the quality of the recording, not to mention the material from a cd I purchased for $7.95!! What are some of the other "gems" out there that are worth hunting for in blues or jazz and classical as well?

A good point is raised here. The suggestions have to include the specific cd in many cases. Kind of Blue, for example, should be the 20 bit remastered Columbia Legacy version from what I understand. My Folk Singer cd is the mca/chess version and it sounds great. It's got to sound incredible if the ultradisk is an improvement. I guess its available through acoustic sounds?
Haven't yet heard the SACD version of "Folk Singer", but the best one so far is the DAD version on Classic Records, IMHO. Full enjoyment of this DAD can only work if your DVD player will pass a non-downconverted 24/96 digital signal. If so, the quality is stunning, as if Muddy and Otis Spann and the boys are right there in your listening room.

Sometimes makes me wonder why so many other SACD's and CD's sound so pale by comparison.
