The formula is R1 X R2 over R1 + R2, so 36/12= 3 ohms. Try the 4 ohm or 2 ohm taps. Probably the 2 ohm will sound better.
2ohms, 4ohms, 8ohms, which to hookup too?
First off thanks for your help. I have a McIntosh MC300 and one pair of D700 and D500 Tannoy speakers. I would like to connect one of each to my right and left channel. The nominal impedance for each speaker is 6ohms.
The amp offers either a 2, 4 or 8 ohm connect. Which do I use and how to you caculate this total?
