Audio Consignment Shop In The New York Area?

Hello,

Can anyone recommend a good shop to consign a pair of speakers? I'm trying to sell a pair of ATC SCM100's and it's (understandably) a bit hard to move these in a private sale.

I appreciate any advice.

Neither Stereo Exchange nor TFtA will do consignment. They would buy them outright but for pennies on the dollar. Another possible buyer is Adam from High-End Audio Auctions. He's on Ebay. Otherwise, the recommendation to list on CL would be best.
+1 re Adam. He is also Audiogon member "Squiddy," and he is located in Brooklyn. I've bought a couple of things from him over the years, and he was extremely nice to deal with. Since his business is buying and selling used equipment, he would obviously have to pay significantly less than he anticipates being able to sell for, but hopefully his markdown would be no worse than, and perhaps better than, the commission that is involved in selling via a consignment business.

You can either PM him through Audiogon or request a quote via www.stereobuyers.com.

Thanks for the correction, ZD. As someone who lived in Coney Island as a youth, I'm ashamed of myself.

Thanks you guys for the advice.

I posted on Audiogon for a month and there was not one inquiry. Not even a low ball offer. ATC is not a well known hifi brand and that is why I am thinking about consigning them. I have them posted on Ebay. I would like to make $5k.

Stereobuyers is not interested. I'm wary of the shady people on Craigslist but I may be able to list them for the price I require since there are not fees.

I would consider shipping them but crating/freight would be ridiculous. They weigh 125 lbs. each.
