Thorens TD 160 HUM

I have a TD160 turntable paired with a Bob Latino Dynaco ST70 clone and Mcintosh c130 preamp. As it is set up now I have a hum when playing records, if I move the power cord of the turntable, and the rca plugs it can reduce it hum substantially but it is still there. Any thoughts....

I think your hum may be cable related.

Agree with Zd... I used to own a TD 160. I had bad hum problems. If you're handy, try replacing the tone arm cables yourself with new quality cables.

try to get cables with separate ground wire.
