Amp with magneplanar mg12

I want to change my Naim 62-110 because it doesn't fit with my Maggies MG-12. I Think about 2 choices:

1st: Audio research vt-100 mkII with a Sonic frontiers SFL-1
Is there a too cheap pre amp with a too good amp?

2nd choice: Pathos Classic one mkii
I'll pay 1600$ in total instead 2800$ for the ARC and SFL-1

If i Choose the pathos, i'll have enough money to change my cd-player a CAL DX-1

Any ideas for the CD? A Naim cd5 or an ARC Cd2?
