Whats on your turntable tonight?

For me its the first or very early LP's of:
Allman Brothers - "Allman Joys" "Idyllwild South"
Santana - "Santana" 200 g reissue
Emerson Lake and Palmer - "Emerson Lake and Palmer"
and,
Beethoven - "Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major" Rudolph Serkin/Ozawa/BSO
slipknot1
Just listened to Neil Young-Everybody Knows this is Nowhere and Phish-Junta
Next will probably be Yes-Fragile and then maybe some Jimi
Finally opened my Cassandra Wilson "Blue Light 'Til Dawn" lp set from Pure Pleasure Analogue. This is one of the best recordings I have heard in a while. The disc is extremely quiet. I thought for a moment I neglected to increase the volume after I cued it up. Most exellent!
It's turning into Monovember for me.

Oboen-Konzerte, by Handel, Telemann, Dittersdorf; Philips A 02233 L .
Opened a still sealed copy of Yo-Yo Ma playing Dvorak: Cello Concerto, a CBS Records Masterworks release. A visual check shows the record in excellent condition. After a thorough cleaning, side one sounded like it had been abused for decades, side two wasn't the best, either. I hate when that happens!
It has been a Dead Can Dance morning and afternoon. Now that it's supper time on the East coast, we have some Anoushka Shankar playing. I was working outside all day and I just pounded a vodka and soda. I have a feeling there's going to be some Talking Heads spinning this evening and I will not be sitting down for it. Ahhhhh, to not be young!!!
