Preamp Deal of the Century

If anyone is looking for a true "World Class" preamp at a very fair price..heed my advice. I just recieved a Supratek Syrah preamp that was hand built by Mick Maloney in Western Australia, and it is absolutely beautiful! This preamp is the best deal you will ever find. I would put it up against any preamp out there for both looks and sound. Price? $2500 for the Syrah (includes Killer Phono stage). Not into phono? Try the Chardonney line stage for $2100. Don't get me wrong, I am not associated with this company. I am just a very happy owner! This preamp is VERY dynamic, yet liquid. Tom,
Does the Cortese have a phono stage (I can't seem to keep all the models straight)? The Chenin has a phono stage using the 6922's, which are in the front most position. Confusing as both tube sets have a 9 pin configuration....

FWIW, on my Grange the E180F tubes are in front followed by the Cca (6922) and as Slipknot points out the tubes get taller going towards the back. Perhaps yours is configured differently. Good luck.

Mustang is absolutely correct on tube position for the Cortese. The 180 tubes are in front.
Mustang, I picked up the Lucinda Williams lp per your suggestion. Very good.
Also I thank you and Ecclectique for tube recommendations. Very helpful. Definite improvement. Great fun.

My comments pertained only to the Grange not the Cortese. I have no experience with it.
Thanks for the tip but I already own "Lost in Space". If you like that check out the albums by Til Tuesday. She was the lead singer, bassist, and songwriter for most of the material. I have all of the albums and highly recommend them. Thank you.

Tom.. the E180F's go in the front sockets. Putting the 6922's in the front followed by the E180F's in the "middle" of the preamp might destroy your preamp.
