6sn7 and 12sn7 octal preamp for under $5k

Love the sound of octal tubes in preamps (6sn7 & 12sn7). Looking for the best sounding (with phono preferably but not a deal breaker) for the area of $3k-5k new or used does not matter.

Does anyone here have experience with the German made Thoress preamp? (12sn7 based)
The Mystere CA21 has a similar chassis and layout like Melody 101. It looks like a Melody 101 without the regulator tubes.

I have the TRL Dude preamp and a pair of Melody KT88 monoblocks. I am happy with both.
A friend recommended the Rogue 99 which uses 6sn7's also but am not sure how it would stack up to the others mentioned here.
I have the Mystere CA-21. I have to say it that its performance never ceases to amaze me. It makes real music, is uncolored, dynamic, with huge deep and tall soundstage, beautiful tonality and balance. Build quality is unbelievable and is totally silent. This preamplifier weighs close to 50 pounds. the price per performance ratio is remarkable. I would put it up against anything out there!
Look for a Wyetech Opal (almost never come up) or Jade. I have been an audiophile for 40 years and have heard many pre's, but there are extraordinary.
