Vinyl albums

I was told some of my albums may be collectors pieces...where do you research the value of old albums? In particular I was told the Sgt. Peppers album is a collectors album due to the good condition and the "cut out" insert?

They are ALL collectors pieces to me!!....just curious.

for a 'cold reality' check, pick up a goldmine guide. if by 'good' you mean 'mint' cover and record and label and inserts, and original pressing...now you're talkin some money.....overgrading records is now sweeping this marketplace.

There are tens of thousands (conservative estimate) of this album in collections and for sale. The cut out sheet is no big deal.

Very few Sgt. Pepper albums are "collector's pieces". Even first pressings in great condition with early stamper codes sell for under $100.

Listen and have fun; you won't get rich selling it.
one way to get a realistic idea of what a given LP is worth is to do 'closed auctions' search on ebay - this will tell you what people have actually been paying for it.
