God how those Peter Sellers Pink Panther movies bring back fond memories!

As a person who has spent a fair amount of time and money on treating my room, if you've heard people saying this for a while [e.g. it's the room stupid], and you've been intrigued but haven't further researched or decided to treat your room, I urge you to do it. For years I had read this same advice and, in my mind, knew it was a great idea. However, I procrastinated for years before actually doing it. Bad mistake. I can't get back those years that I could have had much better sound.

So, if you have the means and want better sound, don't make my mistake and treat your room properly - you won't be sorry and it will be the best investment you've made in your system.

What Fmpnd said!! If you haven't dealt with your room's acoustics, all the equipment upgrades, new cables etc. will never get you where you want to be.

We all need someone to look down on and ridicule - the audiophile that provides a vital psycho-acoustic role in society.

Clearly, audiophiles also need rooms well padded with foam.
