Help Father of the bride dance song.

Please help me fellow gonners. My daughter is getting married next Saturday. She's asked me to choose the song for the fathers dance with the bride. Your suggestions would greatly be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I love the Pretenders choice. It's a great song. Check out Larry Graham's "One in a Million You". Larry was the cool wickedly funky bass player in Sly and the Family Stone but this song is a departure being a ballad. Beautifully sung, a tad on the cheesy side, but killer R & B. PLEASE don't select the Clapton choice. It is positively lame.
What about "Big Papa" by Notorius B I G? LOL....just kidding of course.

Definitely the Sinatra version of " The Way You Look Tonight", an excellent tempo and the theme sends the proper message without choking everyone up. Your daughters wedding should be fun.

Congratulations and I hope it goe without a hitch!
I have used "Turn Around" as sung by Nanci Griffith from the album "Other Voices, Other Rooms" for years - (I perform at a lot of weddings, and I often DJ the receptions.)
IMHO, it's less syrupy than Butterfly Kisses and Daddy's Little Girl, but every bit as poignant. Never a dry eye in the house after this one!
Was written by Malvina Reynolds, Harry Belafonte & Allen Greene, but I love Nanci's version the best.
Lyrics include:

Where are you goin' my little one, little one?
Where are you goin' my baby my own?
Turn around and you're two
Turn around and you're four
Turn around and you're a young girl
Going out of the door

Where are you goin' my little one, little one?
Little dirndles and petticoats, where have you gone?
Turn around and you're tiny
Turn around and you're grown
Turn around and you're a young wife
With babes of your own

Congrats and enjoy!
