Especially in the light of the OP's initial mention of Sarah Jarosz....here's another young, original breath of fresh air: Sarah Jaffe. I've been listening to her 2010 release, Suburban Nature, and have her 2011 release on the way. Here's a great sense of what she's about that actually has excellent sound!
