Good Toslink Cable From Squeezebox Receiver To DAC

Just an update.

I just realised that my DAC has a spare BNC S/PDIF Digital Input.

In this case, am I better off with a RCA or coaxial cable from the Squeezebox Receiver digital output into a BNC Adaptor (am confused as to which is male and female)?

Does this give better sound and if so what brands to look at (bearing in mind cost effectiveness)

I've tried a few BNC/RCA coax cables, some expensive, some not. Optical too. But no glass opt's.

I settled on the Stereovox xv2, $150 new, FOR 1M BNC. I understand BNC also has some added advantages via signal transmission.

I found the wire straight forward and revealing... if it's in the recording you will hear it, yet quite neutral. Not bright or clinical. Very nice. Especially for the $$$. I kept it over one costing 4 - 5 times as much.

I am deciding between Apogee Electronics Wyde-Eye and the Stereovox HDXV2. The Stereovox is double the price.

If I get the Stereovox HDXV2 I will not need an adaptor is that right? I was looking for something more warm. Would either fit the bill?

Where is it cheapest to order online in the US?

The Apogee is expensive and the Stereovox is too expensive.
