Need Advice on a Low End CD Player Giant Killer
I have always heard good things about Yamaha. Here's a multi player and and looks like an excellent single player. I'm thinking of a standalone CD/SACD player to replace my oppo.https://usa.yamaha.com/products/audio_visual/hifi_components/cd-c600/...
Has anyone made the jump to $uper High end and were disappointed?
Rich people are music lovers, enjoy hobbies, etc just like anyone else. Your available funds will dictate how far one goes into their interests and what youbdo. The multi million dollar rich person may tinker with $700,000 stereos, exotic cars, ar...

Benchmark AHB2 power amp impressions?
I wonder pairing the AHB2 with a tube preamp would be a good combination. I like how you can change the gain with both unbalanced and balanced cables. The amp, from what I've read, can sound quite clinical to some. With a good tube pre, some sligh...
How good is the new Accuphase A-36?
Interested myself. Hard to find newer Accuphase amps used
Can somebody explain this?
So Macintosh did as well?
Bluesound Vault 2 now or wait for CES2018?
Waiting for the next thing is a never ending game in this modern world. For such devices I prefer to have my own hard drive externally. Unless you have no way to rip cds on your computer, try a Node2 and hook an external usb drive or have is strea...
Has anyone made the jump to $uper High end and were disappointed?
In my small home studio I use Mogami GOLD balanced monitor, midi and mic cables. I thought about trying Mogami's on my main home system as well since they sound so nice and are quiet as a mouse. Pretty much BlueJeans cables in main home system exc...
Calling all Schiit Freya owners: question about amplifier pairing and heat problems.
Since the Freya is basically a passive preamp and I believe the active stage is low gain, you may want to take a look at this. Before buying something much more expensive. Check out the reviews of the Job225 since this is basically a smaller watt ...
Looking for a good DAC under $500
I have the BS Node 2. I dougt you’ll find anything better than the built in dac for the $$$ you want to spend. Maybe the $799 Oppo Sonica
Schiit Reference Sytem review: Freya into Yggdrasil, into Vidar
Just buy it. Very smooth controls, transitions and no artifacts or noise. 15 day return policy. You will not regret

I just adde3 a LOKI into the tape/processor loop of my RP-1. I basically use it as a loudness control ( low end boost) at low level night listening. Very quiet and sounds great
Low heat alternative to FIRSTWATT J2 ?
Uncola.....was it the fact that the heat became unbearable in the room or the fact you were worried about overheating the amp itself? I just can’t see how an amp can overheat the room with heat.
Low heat alternative to FIRSTWATT J2 ?
I would think as long as you have the amp on a simple floor amp stand you would be fine.
Has anyone made the jump to $uper High end and were disappointed?
I’ve heard numerous times “your system is only as good as the weakest link”in many of the high $ systems, the material ( music) one listens to is actually the weakest length. Over at Computer Audiophile, people debate the merits of $5000 usb cable...
