Who thinks $5K speaker cable really better than generic 14AWG cable?
Good or bad, like or dislike, with respect to cable choices are individual decisions. Therefore, the attempt to convince others that one philosophy is right or wrong is pointless. The discussions of different experiences and sharing of opinions, art...

Tidal has started streaming MQA encoded albums
Only the Tidal desktop app decodes mqa. You have to let Tidal take over your computer audio interface and make it exclusive to Tidal ( when youvquitvTidal computer goes back to settings you had before) Plus choose to let app decode the mqa. You ca...
Tidal has started streaming MQA encoded albums
Apple Computers (not ios devices) can transmit 24/96 over wifi home share. But, I would need some type of TIDAL remote for the desktop app.
Tidal has started streaming MQA encoded albums
I know..big difference. My studio monitors are so revealing that with the 24/96 Tidal streams, you actually feel the pulses of his bass drum where he is pressing against head between notes. AWESOME

Zu Omen Def Mk.2 - Updated Review
I love my Omen Defs that I purchased back in 12. A few photos (I'm a pro photographer) I took for Sean are still on the ZU site. One day I would like to do the driver upgrades, but I have mine so dialed in (and broken in), I would hate to mess thi...
Peachtree Audio 2.0
The Peachtree is a quality item...I agree. I'm one not to purchase a new model when it first comes out anyway. I believe Oppo has some dips in the road as well with the new 203 player as well.
Dumb question #643: should speaker cables last a lifetime?
Thanks for all the info. I'm almost 50, so I'm probably good on the lifetime part. Jafant, what you say makes a lot of sense. I guess with anything, stereo, cars, etc, no matter how high of quality, it will eventually be imporoved with something be...
Peachtree Audio 2.0
I have a theory "People tell you who they are....believe them"Same with products. Yes, many people return due to lack of knowledge, color, etc. However, audiophile are ones who dig a bit deeper with expectations of audio components. Maybe take som...
Dumb question #643: should speaker cables last a lifetime?
Yes, they will last.....unless you start reading audio forums :-)All sorts of entertaining posts on the various audio forums. Sometimes I have to look twice at some of the snake oil that comes across.
Dumb question #643: should speaker cables last a lifetime?
Thanks for info. I unhook speaker side of cables probably once a year (cleaning floor etc) but have never really unhooked amp side ( bare wire connection). I will unhook that as well and ruffle wife ends next time). I'm looking at a new pair of Zu...
Looks like B&K is back
I'm wondering if it's just rebadged general Chinese components or actual thought and care has been taken. Time will tell. I love my old B&K st140. I doubt if I ever consider a new one
Yamaha A-S500 85WPC Easily Driving ATC SCM11 v2
I'm considering a Yamaha integrated myself. I heard a Yamaha As series amp with some Zu Omens last year and was blown away. Much warmer than I anticipated. i have Zu speakers myself
Wireless speakers causing negative growth on Surround sound systems?
Wireless systems are basically the old Console or tabletop all in one systems ( think sound design, jcpenny, etc) that were in most people's homes back in the day. Audiophiles will always reach for something better, just like back then. Convenient...
