Arcam AVR Receivers Thanks everyone for your thoughts. @akg_ca thanks, yeah I do like the way it sounds. @elliottbnewcombjr yeah I did but I do love the way it sounds. I was thinking maybe switch over to Luxman but that will be much more expensive (they don't have...
Arcam AVR Receivers I really like Arcam sound too. Im wondering if I should upgrade from AVR30 to AVR31 in terms of sound and video 60 vs 120hz ?
Luxman L-509Z Integrated Amplifier @saurabhgarg Hi, how is the transformer holding up so far ? Is it making any noise ? How do you like the 509Z ? I think I'm very close to buying one. Thanks.
Luxman L-509Z Integrated Amplifier Cool. Could you send me the model that you have please. Thanks!
Luxman L-509Z Integrated Amplifier Nice @saurabhgarg ! Were you able to get it with US voltage or are you going the step down transformer?
Luxman L-509Z Integrated Amplifier @dwest1023 where did you purchase it ? can you share a link or contact info. Thanks.
Adding a power trigger to an amp that doesn't have one Yeah that’s the problem. None of those solutions mentioned work for me. A button has to be pressed on the amp in order to turn it on - period. No switched pdu will fix that. My question still stands. Anybody know of a device I’m talking about ?
Adding a power trigger to an amp that doesn't have one Thanks for the suggestions but I'm not sure this is what I need. Unless I'm not understanding something, how do these power relays send an IR signal to my amp to turn it on when the 12V out of my AVR sends that signal ? NOTE: I need to press a b...
Adding a power trigger to an amp that doesn't have one Daily probably 5-6 times for sure. And tbh never had a problem with any of my components.
Adding a power trigger to an amp that doesn't have one It’s A/B and if no signal powered on it uses 150W, but if idle(plugged in but not powered on it uses only 0.5W). I’d rather not have something powered on at all times and waste energy.
Luxman L-509X vs Luxman L-509Z I heard the 507z and 509x, going to listen to them both side by side in a few days. I also really want to have the trigger inputs on the amp so leaning towards 509Z. I really would like to use the least amount of remotes (wife already hates some c...
Matching the cartridge to the phono stage @atmasphere Hi, yeah I heard about that, spacers needed if adjusting VTA, right ? I was also considering Clearaudio Concept but when I heard them side by side with the same Hana SL cartridge I liked Rega much better. It sounded more dynamic, bet...
Matching the cartridge to the phono stage How about Rega Ania MC ? that way no spacers are needed I think and reviews are pretty good (I should really audition it). These are the specs: TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Tracking Pressure 1.75 - 2.00 g Input Load Impedance 100 Ω Output ...
Matching the cartridge to the phono stage I also just found more specs for the phono stage: S/N ratio: PHONO (MM) : 91 dB or more (IHF-A correction, 5 mV input) PHONO (MC) : 75 dB or more (IHF-A correction, 0.5 mV input)
Matching the cartridge to the phono stage What about Fixed Coil Carts ? Do you guys have experience with those versus Moving Coil ? https://www.sound-smith.com/articles/fixed-coil-vs-moving-coil-why-make-jump-different-technology |
