Totem Sttaf the key to Sttafs is set up. They must be out from the wall, and the distance between them is also important. In my experience the Sttaf's image is huge extending well outside the speakers and in some cases past the walls. They need to be at least...
Does it bother you? I notice some artists recordings are leaps better than others. Further some of them are just bad; although the music is good so I assume they are recording for ipod listening only.Whether the artists who consistently record outstanding fidelity an...

Suggestions short 3' tall floorstander? given your existing Totem config, why not go with Forests, and if they are too tall Hawks. You can move the Mite's to the rear. Another option is Mani-2's. I have a pair of Sttafs, and Mani-2's. Wouldn't recommend the sttafs for HT for the same re...
Can old equip work with today's technology you should reall look at your post (ie the identical one to this) you made yesterday. There are several replies there.
Can old equip work with today's technology I do it - works great. My gear is probably older than yours. Most TV's have RCA audio outs. Just connect them to your pre ins. To do Pandora you need a SMART TV or a streaming device like a ROKU - and they too have audio outputs normally.
Conrad PV-12 Preamp Sub Woofer output the easiest solution is a "Y adapter" to split the outputs. Otherwise you could have a tech install another set of outputs for a sub, but depending on how they do it the yield will be the same as the adapter.I take it your sub doesn't have a cross...
TAD 60 In Northern Virginia - which you would probably want to ship it to try Music Technology. Bill Thalman use to work at Conrad Johnson and knows his stuff.
Creedence Clearwater Revival - John Foggarty I have the live CD he did (Premonition) related (I think) to the "Behind the Music" show he was on. I like it quite a bit, but always have preferred his singing voice on the CCR Records.
Great Overall Career Arc -- Group/Solo Tom Petty - "Mudcrutch?" , then TP&the heartbreakers, then solo, then back. Does he qualify?
Great Overall Career Arc -- Group/Solo thanks Viridian - I think that's exactly the point. We just won't reach a consensus on who's careers were great, nor on which bands were great. eg, I would clearly have Clapton on this list before I would have Robbie Robertson. I can agree with yo...
Great Overall Career Arc -- Group/Solo My criteria are great group and great solo careers.ok, just to be a little more provocative, by this criteria I think many of these listed would be disqualified. I had thought of Robbie Robertson - and I like him a lot, but has he really had a gre...
