Audio Research VT 100 MKIII I have been through a number of ARC amps over the years, such as the VS 110, VS-115 and now, the Ref 150. I never owned the VT 100 Mk III, but for some reason I recall reading that some said the VS-115 sounded better. In fact, some folks, some of ...
Is DEQX a game changer? Al. did Nyal mention whether the revisions would be made to the rest of the product line. As you know, I bought the Premate in September. I wonder if the revisions affect the Premate. Also, did Nyal tell you what the revisions are? This reminds me ...
New Audio Research Reference 150 SE Thanks Frank. I just answered your PM. Btw, I agree with the win-win deal scenario. Hope you get your new Ref 75 SE this week. Very interested in reading your comments.
Linda Ronstadt can't sing anymore. Great post Oregonpapa. Is it still possible to buy the CDs anywhere. Btw, how long will it take for ARC to ship your Ref 75 SE? As you know, I am pondering upgrading my Ref 150 to the SE version. Waiting for objective member comments. I think you ...
Audio Research 75 SE @Carey1110 .... yes, please keep us posted. Another member, Oregonpapa, recently sent his Ref 75 back to ARC for the SE upgrade. Also looking forward to reading his comments soon.

New Audio Research Reference 150 SE Thanks Knghifi for the TAB link. I wonder if the SE version comes with a new fascia. I'm holding judgment until I read some member comments and catch a review or two.
Lyra Kleos vs versus the EMT TSD 15. Thoughts? @Mountin pics ... yes. IMO, I think the Kleos is a nicer sounding cartridge. But remember, taste and equipment compatibility are key considerations. In my experience, the 2M Black just didn't work well in my rig for the reasons stated above.
Audio Research REF 75 vs VAC Phi 200 @Oregonpapa ... I've read the same about the CD-6 being totally solid state. Can't speak about its sound. In fact, it's the SS version of the Ref CD-9. I believe the CD-6/9 use a quad mono configuration for its Burr Brown chip sets. Supposedly bet...
For VPI Unipivot Owners, do you use antiskating? @Stan (Stringreen), is the AS devise you described above different that the stock AS gizmo that comes with the Classic 3 tone arm base and wand. Phrased differently, is there another AS system peculiar to the 3-D arm?
New Audio Research Reference 150 SE @Oregonpapa ... looking forward to reading your comments. Did ARC tell how long the break-in period is?Btw, I mentioned this above, but think it is worth repeating that Kal at ARC advised me that ARC has finally gotten around to blessing the KT-15...
Lyra Kleos vs versus the EMT TSD 15. Thoughts? I own the Kleos and have posted many positive comments about it. Never heard the EMT cartridge but would also be very interested to read comments by folks who have seriously compared the two cartridges.Btw, I used the own the Ortofon 2M Black. IMO...
For VPI Unipivot Owners, do you use antiskating? This topic has been covered many times over in other threads. But FWIW, I can't hear the difference with or without, but use a smidge of AS anyway. Reason: when I asked Peter Ledermann to check my Zephyr stylus (former primary cartridge), he repor...
New Audio Research Reference 150 SE I wonder if ARC intends to phase out the current Ref line and replace it with the SE version at the increased prices. Or perhaps the current Ref version stay and the new SE versions fill in the gap between the current Ref line and the G series. I ...
