Problems with Bluesound Vault and PC app finding Node2 that are wireless
@spatialking I have D-Link DIR-890LR router. The only thing in my house that is wired is my PC. I have a WAP in my office which is in the next room and another WAP in my living room where my main system is. It’s not very far from the router, maybe...

Problems with Bluesound Vault and PC app finding Node2 that are wireless
I have not had any issues with my BlueSound Node 2 dropping out, or any of my other streaming devices (Roku, Oppo, Marantz, etc.) since I upgraded my router a little over a year ago.  I spent about $200 on the router and that fixed a lot of issues...
Vinyl Sleeves and Jackets
I put the vinyl in a poly lined sleeve, then place the vinyl outside of and behind the cover with the outer sleeve and vinyl in a 3 mil poly sleeve.  This eliminates having to slide the record in and out of the outer sleeve and (my thoughts at lea...
Looking for mc cartridge in $1000-$1500 range.
When I saw the title of your post I was going to suggest you save yourself a little money and get a Hana SL.  I have one and am very pleased with it.  It comes really close to the $2,000 Van Den Hul MC Two I have on my main turntable.  I love my H...
Advice needed: am I going in the right direction?
Just like all the other components in an audio system, DACs will have different sonic signatures.  Some are "warm", some are "neutral", some are "bright", some are more detailed, etc. etc. etc.At the level your system is currently at those differe...
Suggestion To The Moderators To Rid This Site Of Spam
The SPAM seems to get cleaned up pretty quickly and there's not an overwhelming amount of it.  I just ignore it.  The proposed "solution" seems like more of a problem than the SPAM itself.
Upgrade from my internal Primaluna phono stage... Audio Alchemy PPA-1? What else?
First of all, I have not heard the Primaluna phono stage, so can't say whether an external stage would be "better", however this is from Primaluna's web site:"Built in phonostages are “throw in” and are rarely good quality because manufacturers a...
Problems with Bluesound Vault and PC app finding Node2 that are wireless
If you can't run a wire to the Nodes, here are a few things to look at:- A better router- A wireless repeater and/or Wireless Access Point- Does your cable modem also have a wireless router?  If so, you might try turning it off.  If the devices co...
Advice needed: am I going in the right direction?
That amp has multiple RCA inputs.  You run a USB cable from your computer to a DAC.  The DAC will have RCA outs that you can connect to one of the RCA inputs.  You don't need digital inputs on the amp.  Not complicated at all.  I don't have any re...
Catastrophic Accident! What To Do!?
It would be worth a call to your insurance agent to see if your homeowners coverage covers your loss.
Whats on your turntable tonight?
@slaw My MOFI copy of Abandoned Luncheonette that I purchased from Discogs was advertised as "NM-", but didn't quite live up to that.  It does sound really good for the most part, just not as clean and quiet as the "new" one I picked up yesterday....
Whats on your turntable tonight?
Hall & Oates - Abandoned Luncheonette. I've bought a few copies of this including MOFI and a "hot stamper". I finally found one that sounds really clean, almost like new, for $5 today.
Whats on your turntable tonight?
@slaw  The vinyl itself had a little bit of noise but overall I thought it sounded great.  One of the things that caught my attention was the production quality.  I'm not sure I have the words to describe it, but it reminded me of older classic ro...

I picked up a nice used copy of Jack White's Blunderbuss and listened to that last night.  I think that might be my favorite record of his.
