Dynaudio customer service ignoring me
It took awhile for the Chinese connection to pop up on this thread. The Confidence line and Heritage Special line are all made in Denmark not China.   I own the Hertiage Specials and their build and sound quality are world class.  The rest of Dyn...
Why is solid state more popular when tubes are better?
I have been a tube user for the past 50 years but recently switched over to a highly regarded SS integrated and I surprisingly don't miss my tube amp.  I am using the Boulder 866 and find it extremely musical.  I am sure there are other SS brands ...
Why is solid state more popular when tubes are better?
I had been a tube guy for over 40 years and never entertained the thought of a SS amp until a few years ago.   I decided in retirement I was going to fully investigate the possibility of switching to a high quality SS integrated.   I did end up bu...
what amplification are you running with your Dynaudio Heritage Specials?
I have the Boulder 866 running my Heritage Specials and its a match made in heaven.   The Hertiage Specials need lots of current and quality watts.  If the Boulder fits in your budget it is a must audition.  The Hertiage went to another level wi...

Dynaudio Heritage + Gold Note IS-1000 Deluxe
Bluethinker,   I am driving my Dynaudio Heritage Specials with the Boulder 866 and that integrated is a beast.  The speakers sound quite unbelievable for a small standmout.  They come alive with power and sound great at lower volume.
upgrade Dynaudio Special 40 to Kef Reference 1
Perkadin, I have the HS speakers and I would recommend the Boulder 866 if that fits into your budget.   The HS really is a incredible speaker with the right amp.  Btw they sound very full at low volumes with the 866.
After fifty years… amazing. What high end audio can be.
Great thread!  I turned 70 in December and I have been in this hobby for 50+ years. My current system is not the most expensive that I have put together but it is the most satisfying I have had.  I don't think my hearing is anywhere near what it w...

You can throw the Boulder 866 into the mix.  It has the new sweet musical house sound and it's built like a tank.

Congratulations!  I have been close to pulling the tigger on some of Gregg's speakers.  They are well crafted musical instruments.

Bato1965, Thanks for your reply.   For you info the Boulder 866 is a incredibly musical amp.  That's coming from 40+ years as a tube discipline. Yes it does control the Dynaudios very well.  In addition I do have a Koetsu Rosewood Signature on a ...
