Who has Luv for the Lyngdorf 2170 and is thinking about the 3400. Redboob(k) aside, thanks for the feedback from those using the 2170 with this configuration.
Who has Luv for the Lyngdorf 2170 and is thinking about the 3400. The 2170 continues to interest me. To raise the funds, would have to sell my PrimaLuna Dialogue Premium HP I use in a second system. And I do enjoy that amp! I wish I loved computer based audio but for multiple reasons I don't. I like my CD's....
Missing the Old Days While I love my Tekton DI's, I'm not sure their refined sound is what the OP is looking for. I think back to the first time I heard and then bought a pair of of Altec Lansing Santana II's. Rock and roll heaven. And what about their even bigger ...
Tekton Double Impacts Thanks for the comments jcarcopo. I guess my point was why would Lyngdorf even bother with a DA convertor when you would just feed the digital output into one of their amps. I suspect the vast majority of their cd-2 players end up paired with thei...
Tekton Double Impacts @aniwolfe Yes, I was aware of this product. But when used in an all Lyndorf system, why would you want to convert this to analogue and back to digital? Do the Lyngdorf's have/need DA convertors if the conversion takes place at the output stage?
Tekton Double Impacts Almost forgot---GO BLUE!
Tekton Double Impacts Sounds like the both of you are in for some very nice listening indeed. @david_ten Will be very interested in how things all come together David. That integrated looks absolutely beautiful! In time hope you fill us in on all the pieces you a...
Speakers "Disappearing" If I am aware of music coming out of a box, I feel like I have a system that is a failure. Ironic that Michael Green posted. I purchased a pair of his rev60(?) speakers years ago. I thought it crazy in the manual he suggested bringing the speak...
Tekton Double Impacts @stelo I will echo David's comments. While I also prefer my DI's well out into the room, others have had good results otherwise. Depends on the room and your priorities--bass response, sound staging, etc. I also prefer the speakers toed in (s...
Tekton Double Impacts @knollbrent Hope you enjoy the DI's. I just have a hard time believing your Mac will be able to drive them however......JUST KIDDIN'. It's a good knowing your amp is not even breaking a sweat driving the DI's. At least that how I feel with my s...
Tekton Double Impacts Nice pics David. Always fun to get a look at others systems we've all been reading about. The color of your pair of SE's looks great with your system. If you ever have a chance, would like to see a close up of the finish...and what's the offici...
Subwoofer Decision I certainly agree with wsphon's comments above. But I would also add that with my main speakers, well out into the room, that the Hsu subs have done a great job of recreating deep and tight bass found in many of the recordings (classical and other...
Minimum recommended amplification requirements and amplifier matching I once drove a pair of monitor audio silvers with EKCO integrated. This is a very good tube amp indeed but with this pairing in triode the bass was very bloated. Much better in UL mode. I really wonder if the MA silvers aren't better off with ...
Primaluna Dialogue poremium, Rogue Cronus Magnum II or Jolida 801...who can advise me? One more vote for the PL Dialogue HP. Don't be penny wise pound foolish. Spend a bit more for a very musical and very well designed amp that will get you off the merry-go-round need to upgrade. I did not consider any tube amps with circuit boar...
Subwoofer Decision I can second the Hsu ULS-15 MkII. I run a pair and they offer very tight clean bass down to 20hz in my room. A great value. I suspect either of the subs you are looking at would be great as well. In the end what's "best" would only be known af... |
