Borresen Loudspeakers
It's interesting to read the suspicious comments from people that likely never these speakers.  There are many design factors that interest me such as the dipole ribbon tweeter is the same device that Borresen uses in their $550k M6. I also want t...
Borresen Loudspeakers
Excuse my not knowing the Borresen product line but their website doesn't list X1 or X3s.  On the website they list the Borresen 01 Silver Supreme Edition and the Borresen 03.  Are these the X1 and X3?  I plan to listen to the Borresen and the Cla...
Robert Plant
It's been rumored for a long time that Jimmy Page stole melodies from other songs.  Don't believe it.  Listen to the song 'Taurus' from Spirit (available on Qobuz & TIDAL) that was published well in advance of 'Stairway to Heaven'.  I never li...
2023 AXPONA Show Report
@rick2000  Please stop posting equipment announcements as they're not reviews and serve us no purpose other than provide the MSRP.
Anyone else order Caladans from Clayton Shaw?
@ozzy62 @speedthrills You need to fully read the posts.  Speedthrills clearly mentions the coincidence of @whiteknee hearing from Clayton after posting to this forum.
Does Qobuz work
@mojo771 The 15 seconds of play time for each track is clearly associated with a login issue. I've experienced this and resolved it by making sure my login credentials were correct. Did Qobuz resolve this for you?  Claiming TIDAL has a much large...
What was the first power cable that you noticed a difference in the sound?
@carlsbad2  Jerry, intuitively it makes sense that the low power requirements of DAC's & Streamers wouldn't benefit by upgraded power cables, but my experience proved otherwise.  I had my Shunyata dealer send me 3 Shunyata power cables, includ...
Is anybody using the new Afterdark music server?
@yoby  I don't understand your question. Are you saying that you've never auditioned a true music server such as an Aurender ACS100?
Is anybody using the new Afterdark music server?
@yoby I thought the days of general purpose computers disguised as purpose-built music servers was well behind us. I was surprised by the $5,600 price.  The purpose built Aurender ACS100 at $3,500 is likey a better choice . If you're happy, that's...
Intg Amps: Hegel 590 vs NAD M33 Masters vs Gryphon Diablo 120
@gill_benedek  Hard to compare a NAD Masters M33 to the Gryphon Diablo 120.  I consider the NAD as a convenient lifestyle swiss army knife product that really doesn't excel at anything. The amp of the NAD doesn't deliver ample current to control ...
Qobuz email looks suspicious
@larsman I checked the From email address and was also suspicious.  Instead of coming from the qobuz domain it was sent from a gmail domain.
Question about Shunyata Power Conditioners
@xcool I'm a big fan of Shunyata technology as I have a full loom of Shunyata power, speaker, interconnect and Ethernet cables.  I also have the Everest conditioner which you mentioned is out of your price range. You may want to consider listenin...
The best part about MQA bankruptcy..
@onhwy61 Sorry about that.  I now see you were the one that used the 'unfolding' line.  Very clever.
The best part about MQA bankruptcy..
@erik_squires  Thanks for bringing the MQA bankruptcy news to our attention.  I have to think the sunsetting of MQA is largely based on whether TIDAL is gaining or losing subscribers to Qobuz or other hi-res music subscription services. As we all...
People that say a PC doesn't make a difference especially for digital source components usually means they have components worthy of hearing a difference, like a Bluesound Node device.
