Review: Tyler Acoustics Decade 1 (D1) Speaker
Thanks for the reply Holley.I ordered the D1's yesterday. We're still deciding on finish but I did request outboard crossovers in a biamp configuration. Haven't decided on caps yet. May stick with the stock caps and play with the crossovers later....
Tyler Decades Not much press but how good?
My wife wants the bigger ones, the D1's. So I'm calling Ty to place an order. No I'm not kidding. I was trying to talk her into the D2's!I will evaluate and write a review once they are broken in. I know it'll take weeks to build and I still haven...
Tyler Decades Not much press but how good?
So far a very nice guy to deal with as others reported. So accommodating! I'm requesting outboard crossovers sized to accommodate different types of capacitors if I so choose to experiment. He builds them to match the finish on his speakers while ...

I guess the only way to know how good they are is to get a pair.

Advice on restarting vinyl playback after 30 years
When I look at the various VPI tables for sale, it's rather confsuing for a newbie like me. VPI classics sell between 1600 and 6000 dollars. I'm guessing the "classic" model is in very different forms. How does one know what is what?I've read some...
Advice on restarting vinyl playback after 30 years
Wilson667, I saw that. Wonder how good that is?I'm not worried about having the older vinyl matching with newer technology or even looking at old school tables. I have 2 in the garage. I tried to spin vinyl on them but it was so far from being goo...

Thanks for the great suggestions. Funny hing is that I had sold not long ago, my Cary SLP-05 tube pre. That will be a very hard act to follow. The Pass X350.5 has RCA and balanced inputs. I'm currently using balanced from the DAC. I could perform c...
AV123 LS6 Line Source up and running
I was one of the folks who didn't recieve a sub I paid for. I did however receive a beautiful pair of LS6's in piano black made in China. The LS6's made in Columbia had issues. They were freakin amazing speakers. Top to bottom extension to die for...
Are audiophile speakers turn on for single women?
I met my wife in Ukraine (long story) and her exposure to music was nothing more than a really cheap boombox.Coming to America and seeing my setup which was at the time a pair of Def Tech BP2000's AR15 pre Classe DAC 1, Theta Transport and a pair ...
Opinions Please - my next speaker $5 to $10K used
There's a pair of the GMA HD's for sale locally. Nice looking speakers. Nice writeup for the C3's on 6moons website. Interesting.
Opinions Please - my next speaker $5 to $10K used
Interesting opinions, thanks. I've never even heard of GMA speakers. Will they be around for the next 5 years? No there's no perfect speaker, but a lot of great ones. I like my MBL's. They don't move a lot of air but they give great air where it's ...
